Bible Stuff That Won't Bore You

Who is satan? Is he real, and does he affect our daily lives?

*BLOOSH*

Well there goes a rock in the pond!

How do we address praying against satan and the evil spirits that Jesus, Paul, Peter, and many others in the Bible speak about, do we really know who satan is, and can we be sure he exists or tries to fight against us today?

Understanding Our Enemy: Who Is Satan?

Satan is a beautiful, powerful angel God created a long time ago, and was in the Garden of Eden, which we know is where he tempted Eve

Wait, hold up…

Did I *really* just say that satan, the evil, wicked, despicable angel who seeks to torment and separate us from God is a “beautiful” angel?

Yes

Even God calls him “the model of perfection”

…what?

In fact, satan was created as such a powerful and amazing being, that he became prideful over his beauty, and was ultimately kicked out of heaven because he wanted to be considered equal to God

Ezekiel 28:12-17
You were the model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: ruby, topaz and emerald, chrysolite, onyx and jasper,  sapphire, turquoise and beryl. Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared. You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you. Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, O guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones. Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings

Isaiah 14:12-
How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! You said in your heart, “I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.” But you are brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit. Those who see you stare at you, they ponder your fate: “Is this the man who shook the earth and made kingdoms tremble, the man who made the world a desert, who overthrew its cities and would not let his captives go home?”

Due to his beauty, satan became prideful and arrogant, thinking that he would put his throne even above God’s, but even Jesus didn’t think he was equal to God, let alone better!

Philippians 2:5-7
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness

It also says that satan continues to use his beauty to pretend he is an angel of light to deceive people

2 Corinthians 11:13-15
For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness

We can see there is no doubt satan was created as an amazing being, otherwise he would not have gotten prideful about himself, but what is his character like if something that beautiful got kicked out of heaven?

On a side note, imagine how heart breaking it must have been for God to watch satan turn away from him like he did, knowing that such a beautiful creation would go on to such wickedness and rebellion

Before We Continue…

This article is not written to talk about how wonderful satan is, but to show how satan is deceptive, powerful, and incredibly deadly, but is yet shrouded in a lack of detail or awareness

A lot of people think it is better to just not talk about satan as if it somehow gives him more power in our lives, but the truth is, he flexes his power regardless of whether we acknowledge him or not, and goes out of his way to make himself seem harmless or non-existent as he would rather work in the shadows unacknowledged

Despite what people sometimes think, satan is not a red, pointy-horned being that pokes people in the rumpus with a pitchfork, he is more than that, and way more cunning than the caricature he would have us believe he is

This type of characterization of satan does nothing but minimize, and mask, how lethal his intentions are, which are to separate us from God through sin

Also, no discussion about hell is meant to scare people in a fanatical way, I am quoting verses from the Bible with the intention of showing the truth behind satan’s schemes to bring us to a place of death, right alongside him

Anyways, onward!

The Worst Turd-Face In The History Of All Turd-Faces: Satan, The Ultimate Tattle-Tale

Okay, it doesn’t take a Bible scholar to understand that satan is really an awful individual

He wants us to stumble, and live in a way that contradicts God’s character by tempting us to do things that cause us to be separated from God–he wants to hurt God’s feelings through our sin, and he wants us to burn in hell with him in the end as well

This spiteful, mean behavior is the only thing that satan can do to hurt God as satan can do no personal harm to God, he can only hurt those around him that God loves: us!

1 Peter 5:8
Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour

Revelation 20:10
And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever

Revelation 20:12-15
And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire

Yikes!

In fact, satan literally goes before God’s throne to “remind” God about the things we cave in on, and points out the things we do wrong!

Can you imagine that?

But the most awful part, is that satan taunts God when we stumble over the very things he tempts us with–what a turd-face!

Revelation 12:7-11
And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:

“Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down”

Zechariah 3:1-2
Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right side to accuse him. The LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is not this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?”

Even further to this, for the people that satan is unable to point fingers at because they lead good lives, satan goes out of his way to provoke God and requests permission to try and bring them down–which God grants in some cases just to prove a point!

Job 1:6-12
One day the angels came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them. The LORD said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Satan answered the LORD, “From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it.” Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”

“Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. But stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.”

The LORD said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your hands, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”

Luke 22:31-32
“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat.
But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”

When we think of sin as satan and his angels tempting us so they can rub our sin in God’s face, it really creates a different feeling around how we should conduct ourselves doesn’t it?

I mean, would you really want God’s face to be rubbed in something sinful after all the things he has done for us?

“Whoa, nice one Jesus, way to die for that one! High-fives! Honestly, that was just too easy, they crumpled on the first whisper”

How totally gross!

In contrast to satan’s accusations against us, Jesus intercedes for us on our behalf, and constantly speaks to God for us so that we may be shown mercy

Job 16:19-21
Even now my witness is in heaven; my advocate is on high. My intercessor is my friend as my eyes pour out tears to God; on behalf of a man he pleads with God as a man pleads for his friend

Hebrews 7:23-26
Now there have been many of those priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office; but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them

Such a high priest meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens

Temptation Island Peninsula

We face temptation every day, some that satan and his angels bring against us, and some that we actively seek out, but we have to remember that in all cases, God promises we will never be tempted beyond the point of what we can resist

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it

This is one of the most amazing promises in the Bible, that God will not only personally intervene when things get crazy, but will also provide us a way out of the situation as well!

Mmm, but wait, that means every time we sin it is because we chose to do so out of our own personal desire

Oops…

James 1:13-15
When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death

Anyways, as a man, Jesus was not above temptation, and was the model for us to follow, which shows that satan’s power is still real

Luke 4:5-7
The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. So if you worship me, it will all be yours”

With these things in mind, we must always remember to resist and fight against the things satan tempts us with, not just crumple at the first sign of trouble–Jesus lived his entirely life without sinning, and he was a human just like us!

Hebrews 12:4
In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood

So never forget, no matter how strong a temptation is, take heart knowing that you can just say no to it and back away, and it is never, *EVER* too “late” to back away from something even if you have already started to partake of something sinful

Imagine it like this, even if you started eating a piece of cake, you can still spit it out–but don’t tempt yourself by having “just a taste”

Is Satan’s Power Real Today, And How Do We Fight It?

Yes, the answer is unequivocally yes to both things

The worst thing we can believe is that satan and his angels are not at work today, right now, in our lives and in the world around us

This mistake in judgment, or unwillingness to acknowledge fact, can leave us powerless in the face of an enemy that even Michael the archangel would not say an angry word to

Jude 1:9
But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”

When facing this level of evil and powerful opposition, Paul clearly instructed us to put on the full armor of God and told us very plainly that our fight is not with anyone on this earth, but the powers who orchestrate the symphony of death and wickedness on earth

Ephesians 6:10-15
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints

We are in a war that is beyond our means to fight, and only through God can we overcome those who oppose us and God

So what is the solution?

The Power Of Jesus’ Name!

The next time you feel tempted, pray and ask for God to help you, but also speak openly against satan and pray outloud, calling upon the one demons are terrified of!

“In the name of Jesus, satan and all your angels, you get away from me! I am a child of the living God and you have no power of me!”

Mark 1:23-26
Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an evil spirit cried out, “What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!”

“Be quiet!” said Jesus sternly. “Come out of him!” The evil spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek

Make your response to temptations personal, because satan makes his attacks on you personal with the intent of taking you down!

And most importantly, remember that Jesus overcome all sin and death for us, just so that we may know freedom and share in God’s amazing victory over evil–satan is a weakling and a coward, the only power he has is when people do his will!

James 4:7
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you

1 Corinthians 15:20-27
But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For he “has put everything under his feet”

  • Satan represents the potential for evil and fear that all men have. That potential will be realized if one doesn’t recognize and be the lord of their thoughts.

    • Hi KP,

      Great to see you again

Just so I understand the full context of your comment, are you saying satan does not exist except as a philosophical concept?

      • Thanks Nathan, it’s always a cool to read what your blog about.

No. It is quite possible that such a being does exists. My comment was speaking on evil that can take control of man if he doesn’t recognize and do something about it, whether a literal Satan exist or not.

        • Hi KP,

          Understood

Regarding the existence of satan, do you feel it is questionable that satan is a real spiritual being, it sounds like you think to the contrary, or at least have some doubts?

          • Yea, I believe it is questionable. I don’t believe Satan does literally exist, but I also don’t believe he doesn’t.

          • Hi KP,

What is your basis for questioning the existence of satan?

I would definitely like to discuss further, though I would like to hear your point of view first, and how you came to it, as the notion that satan does not exist leaves room to say that God does not exist, and that a lot of things in the Bible are not as literal as people take them

            More details!

          • My bases for question Satan’s existence is based off never having strong enough evidence to believe such a being exist nor have I never had strong enough evidence to believe that he doesnt’ exist. Unless one has enough evidence, belief in such a being is a matter of faith, not a matter of fact, since faith is belief  in what one cannot observe.

I came to that view by realizing how faith is totally different from rational thought (not to say there’s anything wrong with faith). For example, one cannot prove or disprove that there’s a loving God who cares about them and is going to work everything out for their good, so it takes faith to believe this idea. Man has to come to realize where his views are based off of fact, and where they’re based off of faith. Belief in the Bible or the Koran being God’s word and completely historically accurate is a matter of faith, not fact.

            What are your thoughts?

          • Hi KP,

Understood, thank you for the additional details

Apart from the point about faith versus knowledge, there are a number of verses in the Bible that specifically refer to satan both in the OT and NT, Jesus talked about him, so do the apostles, how would you view these?

Do you believe the authors were talking in terms of non-literal interpretation, or are you saying that on a personal level you cannot say undeniably that satan exists because you have no firsthand proof?

If I am reading what you are saying correctly, I want to ask: have you experienced God in a way that you would say he undeniably exists?

I look at it like this, I was not there when Moses came down the mountain with the stone tablets of the law, nor was I there when Jesus was crucified, etc… but I have had enough personal experiences to say that, without any doubt, God exists

To your point about knowing the exact nature of God (ie: is he loving, and does he really live up to the things said about his character in the Bible), I would also say the same thing, that my experiences with God line up with how he is characterized in the Bible, not the God, or gods, described in other religions

However, where we totally agree, is that in my experiences, a lot of Christians walk in “faith” which rivals superstition as they neither know or understand God’s character to cross over from “belief” to relationship, which is where every Christian should strive to be

We can see this when people say “I never hear God’s voice”, “I do not feel God is there for me”, or “I just know God is there”, etc…

That last point is often difficult for non-believers to accept, as it does sound like superstition, regardless of the how credible the source is

At any rate, what would be your personal response if someone said that they did not believe God was real, as by your logic, and maybe I am not understanding correctly, you are saying there is no equivocal proof?

          • It seems to be the the fact that the writers of certain passages in the Bible in did refer to Satan as a literal being, especially the story of Job. Personally, I have found nothing convincing enough for me to say that such a being exists. I have never had an experience that I have found logically necessary to conclude that any god caused that experience.
The lines between faith and superstition are very blurry in my opinion. However, it seems clear to me that the writers of the NT (especially the Letter to the Hebrews) puts a premium on faith/superstition. Now, if there such a person in the world that any god has made themselves undeniably clear his intentions and wishes, they have to personally deal with that revelation. I have never had an experience that I have found logically necessary to conclude that any god caused that experience. The most that I can say I believe is that some being created all that exists (except itself of course). I can’t pretend to know this being and what “he” wants.
If someone said they didn’t believe God was real, I would have to ask them to define “God” and then fill me in on what they believe concerning God’s existence.

          • Hi KP,

I do not mean any level of disrespect, but since the internet leaves out so much context, do you believe in God in the Christian sense, or just that there is a “being” out there that lacks concrete definition?

You have a very intellectual approach to spirituality, which, and I say as a friend, can be its own paradox of challenges

I have to assume you are looking for a greater spiritual experience than seeing things in intellectual terms, have you done a thorough review of religions in general? I assume you have, though I am curious what you think about others, as I did a very academic review of Christianity and as many religions I could find about ten years ago, and it was very revealing

Overall, I came back to the same thing, which was that, even when distilled, all religions are not the same, nor do they point back to the same source–if they did, “God” would be terribly schizophrenic and incapable of presenting a unified version of itself

In general, blanket statements put anyone’s logic in jeopardy of scrutiny, which is why I wanted to review the claims that people throughout time worshiped the same God, despite the shifts in cultural associations

The main thing I came away from the study with, which lasted two years or so, was that the religions of the world often, sharply, contradict each other when it comes to the afterlife, path to salvation (if they have one at all), spiritual beings, creation, etc…

But the most important contradiction that I found, was that Christianity was the only set of teachings that claimed God loved people so much that he died for their sins, and that he wanted to be one with us in spirit both in this life and the next

When we look past all the “be good to others” surface level instructions about morality, religions are wildly different

With that, what would you say that your spiritual affinity is at this point, were you exposed to catholicism or something similar growing up?

  • No
    disrespect taken.

    No, I don’t believe in
“God’ in the Christian sense. My beliefs about any kind of god only go as
far as to say this Being created the universe. After that, it’s a huge question
    mark.

     I dont’ claim that
His message is the Bible, or any other book that man calls holy. Beliefs like
this are a matter of faith, not fact. People are allowed to have their own
faiths concerning this, but not enough evidence has been presented to me for me
to act as if I know this Person. I’d imagine that such a Being’s would
be incomprehensible for man if man were working on his own effort to
understand Him. If this Being wanted for me to discover Him, I would think He’d
reveal Himself in a way that I cannot reasonably deny His existence or His
    will.

     As far as my
affinity for things spiritual, I am interested in hearing what others have to
say concerning what they believe to be the spirit world. I’m not looking for a
new religion; I’m looking to make my own path. It is quite possible that some
kinda deity revealed himself to certain people in a way that he has not to me,
which is why I’ve very careful about discounting people’s religious
experiences; but I strive to learn more about myself and how to relate in this
world. Whether there’s a spirit world or not, many different cultures offer
different perspective of the world, so I can learn much from them. I admit that
I have not done a thorough review of any world religion. I know a fair amount
about the Bible because I used to be pretty devout as a Christian

    You mentioned how
different Christianity is. If this is true, and Christianity really does stick
out from the rest, how do you know that it is the true belief system? Just
because something is different doesn’t mean it’s “true”.

    • Hi KP,

Thank you, I understand your view a lot better now

Though in reviewing your points, you are unknowingly putting yourself into an illogical paradox, though it is a common one with disenfranchised Christians

Namely, you are saying God is bigger than what anyone can really comprehend, but you go on to say that if such a being did exist and wanted to have a relationship with you, they would make themselves known to you in a way that was undeniable

      The paradox?

How does one say understanding God is impossible, and then go on to project what they think God’s method of reaching them should be–these two points contradict each other

As an objective party looking into your logic as you have expressed it, the thinking is very intellectual, but it does not reflect someone that is avidly seeking truth, as you said that you have not looked into other religions thoroughly

There is no judgment being passed on that, but it seems that if someone was looking for answers, they would seek them out, though hopefully from within Christianity first

I did this for years, and it was a tremendous benefit for me, as despite twenty years of being raised in Christianity, I wanted to make sure that what I was taught was right, and that there was nothing out there that made more sense

However, this type of exploration is not for the weak minded person who is not willing to really dig, as a lot of people just look at the surface of religions and choose based on only what they want to see, not what truly is–Christians do not have a monopoly on this, it is just a fragment of humanity’s typical approach to spirituality

However, I think it is extremely valuable to understand other religions, as, to your closing point, how does someone say that their religion is the “right” one, if they know nothing about the others

To take that logic further, how can someone even say that any religion is wrong if they do not have much knowledge of anything else other than the thing they feel is “wrong” because they did not have an experience they felt was sufficient to convince them?

I admire that you want to find truth after previously finding none, but I would also ask, what in Christianity made you “devout”, and then ultimately turn away from it?

Was it the people, a lack of connection to something you felt was “real”, etc…?

      1 Corinthians 2:14
The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned

In terms of why I say that Christianity is the truth, is that apart from my experiences seeing literal miracles happen in front of my eyes when praying in Jesus’ name, its description of God is the most endearing, and reflects the best of human nature in all that it was created to be: loving

God is defined in the Bible as love itself, and as it says we are created in his image, it makes sense that the world is at its most perfect when we are loving towards one another

The loving God who created us, would also expect us to be loving towards others, as this is in our nature, and he even gave us a conscience to guide us, an internal right/wrong mechanism that we can either listen to or ignore

With this in mind, that same God would then be just, and if we disobey even our own internal inclinations to be “good”, thereby contradicting our very nature, why should this go unpunished?

It is also important to note that despite how people often see sin as something personal, it usually affects, directly or indirectly, other people–if transgressions against our very nature and the well being/happiness of others went without consequences, could we claim God is just?

A loving God does not automatically mean they are a doormat, which is what people often see God as

In contrast, other religions teach about finding personal nirvana, enforcing and defending their beliefs through violence, and a wide variety of very personally oriented philosophies, but Christianity (and Judaism) is about loving each other as ourselves

Regarding other religions and their take on “loving” people, which is super common within almost every religion, when you dig into the depths of other beliefs, they do not involve a God who loved us so much he became a man and died for us, which is in line with what love really is–caring for others more than ourselves, to the point of personal sacrifice

      • Thanks for taking the time to understand.
You may not have noticed, but I qualified my statement concerning man’s
potential to understand the Creator. I said that man wouldn’t be able to
understand Him *on his own effort*. I went on to say that if the
Creator wanted a relationship, He would have to make the first move in
an reasonably undeniable way. Even then, I mentioned how this is just a
way of imagining, as I cannot say what the Creator is like at all, other
        than that He’s the Creator.

I can understand how you’d think my position is one that’s not avidly
seeking truth. However, truth isn’t limited to what man
conventionally labels “religion”. The kind of truth I’m seeking is
self-awareness and self-betterment. This can be cultivated through a
variety of activities. Yes, I learn different perspectives from my
encounters with other cultures and religion, but studying other’s
religions isn’t absolutely necessary in searching for truth.

As far as my personal deviation from Christianity,  I turned because I
began to question how a perfect God can create the world and it become
imperfect. If everything that exist comes from Him, how can He call
anything He created sin? This, coupled with my philosophy on what faith
is caused me to abandon the faith I once had in favor of a type of agnosticism.

If one finds the Bible’s description(s) of God most endearing, I question whether that should be the bases of what’s true or not. What of Muslims who claim to have a personal experience of God and find their description most endearing? I’m not saying that no one has had a personal experience, just that I haven’t had this experience. According to many Christians, if I were to die now, I’d be going to hell. Is it fair for anyone to be judged with an eternal punishment that they can see, feel, and hear, for not adhering a relationship or rules that they cannot see, feel, or hear? Of course, that kind of judgement may possibly be how the Creator works, in which case, He’s picking and choosing who He wants to not go to hell. In fact, somewhere in one of Paul’s writings or the Letter to the Hebrews seems to indicate just that; God picks and chooses who he wants to save. What is man to do if that’s the case?

  • The satan is the rod of God, as Job stated, and as David said gave him comfort, because God chastens every son he receives. There is a religious group that says God failed and had to go to Plan B. Every denomination teaches this, but does not use that label. God is All Mighty. Any doctrine that says otherwise in any way has a form of Godliness but denies the power thereof.
