By no means do I consider myself to be an apologetic, however I do think it is important to be able to defend your faith if challenged. I struggle with sharing my faith w/o coming across as someone who’s proselytizing. I was once asked, why do I believe in God, in which my response was, “I believe in God because you have to believe in something…”. How lame was that?! I felt horrible afterwards, but what I meant by my statement was that w/ everything and everyone that we can choose to believe in, I choose to have faith in God because I trust Him the most. I know, still lame….but none-the-less I’ve pretty much expressed my faith in Christ more-so by my walk with Him. I believe your walk (actions, choices, lifestyle) speak louder than your words.
Even though times like that are painful, God puts us in these situations to expose areas of weakness that we need to address for the sake of our own growth
I used to be very hard on myself for things like this because I felt like I was failing God by not representing Him well, but then I realized the lesson wasn’t for other people, it was for me
It is so important to lead good lives that are always a testament to God’s power in our lives, showing that we are living a lip-service commitment gives God no glory!
